The mass media is claiming that the Trump presidency is about to be the worst in US history.
The media is portraying the 2018 midterm election as a battle between Trump and the media elite, a fight between the people and the powerful.
However, the media is only pretending to be interested in the outcome of this battle, the only real focus is on the media’s self-interest.
While the media has been claiming the midterm elections will be about Trump’s agenda, the real story is that Trump’s job approval rating has dropped.
It is not the media, it is the people.
On Tuesday, Gallup found that Trump has an approval rating of 42%, with 40% of the public disapproving of the president’s job performance.
Trump’s job rating has also dropped significantly from 60% on January 3 to 35% on March 15.
In 2018, Trump earned an approval rate of 55%.
The president’s approval rating dropped to 54% on February 4, which is his lowest approval rating since January 3.
A Gallup poll conducted on February 19, 2018 found that 61% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the federal government, and 52% disapprove of his handling of immigration.
More importantly, 61% believe the president has “made bad decisions on many issues,” which is the lowest approval score Gallup has recorded since Trump took office.
Gallup reported that Trump only has a 52% approval rating on “issues related to his agenda and the economy” and a 55% approval on “his handling of foreign policy.”
“Trump’s approval ratings are lowest in five years, falling below 50% and reaching a new low of 44% on June 27,” Gallup reported.
“His approval rating also dropped below 50%, falling below the 40% mark for the first time since August 2021.”
Gallups poll found that “the public is deeply divided on whether the Trump administration has done enough to combat climate change, with 51% saying they do not believe Trump has done anything in his first six months in office to fight the issue, and 44% saying he has done everything to combat the issue.”
This is why Trump is not going to be impeached.
If Trump were to be indicted for violating the Constitution, his impeachment would be decided in the Senate, not the House.
According to Gallup, 53% of people think Trump is in violation of the Constitution because of his administration’s policies, and 45% think Trump has violated the Constitution “because he is not doing what he promised to do.”
The same poll found 44% of respondents thought Trump is guilty of “serious crimes” such as obstruction of justice, and 51% thought Trump was guilty of lying to the American people about whether he was lying about the size of the inauguration crowd size.
Meanwhile, according to Gallup polling, 51% of voters say they believe the Trump White House is biased against the American public, and 47% think it is biased in Trump’s favor.
For those who want to know what is really going on in the world of the media and the Trump era, the poll data will be the only thing you need to know.
